The benefit of a good list…

July 27, 2009

Although there are millions of .UK domain names registered, there are still many that are not, when compared to the huge .com zone list, which lists every .com domain that is currently registered. The fact is, the .UK namespace simply hasn’t been mined to the extent that the .COM namespace has. Not every single niche [...]

Now admittedly, some would be very hard to monetise in the traditional sense, but others might work. I’m going to be checking through my list [...]

World starts to wake up to Generic Domains

July 13, 2009

This interesting article in the Boston Herald shows that businesses, and almost just as importantly, journalists, are starting to understand the benefit of generic domain names, and why they sell for the values they do.
As the article says:
People will see the six- and seven-figure prices paid for domain names and think the money is crazy, [...]

How to get good domain names

July 11, 2009

Many people have come to the assumption that all good domain names went many, many years ago, so it’s pointless trying to get into the market. There is some logic to that assumption; all the really good generic names did go years ago, but that doesn’t mean that it’s too late to get involved.  There [...]
