World starts to wake up to Generic Domains

by admin on July 13, 2009

This interesting article in the Boston Herald shows that businesses, and almost just as importantly, journalists, are starting to understand the benefit of generic domain names, and why they sell for the values they do.

As the article says:

People will see the six- and seven-figure prices paid for domain names and think the money is crazy, but paying Google or another advertising source for the number of direct leads they deliver would be significantly expensive, Johnston said.

Once people understand that a good, exact match generic properly developed will save them a fortune in ongoing advertising costs,  they start to understand the relevancy of a generic domain. It’s all about the bottom line.
